My job has a wellness initiative with an associated health app. I have cared very little about it since I began working here, but the fact that my org is switching platforms to hold this health tracking thing, and we have until the end of the month to earn and cash out the monetary rewards, I haven’t been healthier in my life. I’m walking thousands of steps, I’m taking the stairs any time I have the option, and I’m drinking water like there’s no tomorrow. In 15 days, I’ve racked up $125 I can cash out in a gift card, and I’ll probably total $175 before we switch over. Nothing like that ADHD procrastination motivation! I hope it’ll last in the transition, but I know without any kind of deadline, it’s not likely.

I needed to get yelled at to get shit started, and this video was exactly that. I haven’t watched any more of this creator’s content yet, but this one was on a sentiment that plagues my mind constantly, but it’s different coming from someone else outside of my own head.
My house is world’s cleaner thanks to discovering Pixel and these mixes. I love the visuals of what the comments have informed are clips from an old Russian cartoon. I am becoming the Saturday morning, blast house music while making a pancake breakfast and cleaning mom of my dreams, and I hope my kids appreciate it or grow to in time.

My colleague and I found berries outside the office, and in true lunatic fashion, ate some. I figured hey, either these berries are edible and probably taste good, or we never pay a bill again. Win-win, am I right? By nature of writing this, they were not poisonous. We later discovered they are Juneberries! Which are kinda like smaller blueberries with a less sweet, earthier taste. So that was my intro to foraging. Do not be like me. DO NOT EAT STRANGE BERRIES.

That leads me to here! I picked a bunch of those Juneberries on my lunch break, took them home, and made a crumble. Except I don’t like crumbles like that. I don’t understand putting hot fruit goo in a dish and then adding crumble topping just to…scoop it out all weird? It needs a base in my head. So I suppose it was crumble inspired, wait…did I make a pie? Is this just a damn pie? I’ve never made a pie before, but maybe I made a pie? I forgot to buy graham crackers, but I couldn’t let the will to bake pass me by. So I made a crust using pretzels, brown sugar, and cinnamon. I probably should have picked more berries, but since I’m texture picky, it actually worked out that it was more crust and crumble than fruit.

I added lemon zest and a smidge of juice to the berry compote, and it ended up more lemony than I anticipated. But that was not a bad thing! I brought it to work and my colleagues tried it with some ice cream the next day. Let’s just say I didn’t bring any home with me. I really did the hell outta that thing, and I’ll do it again too…

Living Meta and Twitter-free has been pretty nice. I shudder at the thought that I may have to rejoin Instagram at some point for added exposure, but I’ll fight the thought for as long as I can. I don’t want to go baaaaaaaack. I am sort of on bluesky, but I haven’t managed to care about it yet.
Though I haven’t been on lately or regularly because kids, I do have a Twitch account, and have the desire to stream again once I get a better evening routine with my nuggets and have an hour or two to myself before I crash for the night.
So I blog here, and I vlog on Youtube. You should follow me so I find posting worth it. I really enjoy making videos. I don’t do much editing, but I do like the little that I do work on. I’m trying to follow my creative juices wherever they go, which is TIRING, because they keep switching mediums. But here’s my latest video(it’s my 50th vlog!!!):
